Is now a good time to invest?

A good rule of thumb is to not invest any money with less than a two-year time horizon. The markets can be be very unpredictable in the short term–as we’ve seen so far this summer!

The Fed is meeting in Jackson Hole this week to discuss the US economy, unemployment and inflation/deflation. The market will remain somewhat tumultuous until it gets a clear reading on the Fed’s decision to raise rates or not.

That said, if you have some investable cash, and a time-frame of 2+ years, then now is a great time to buy shares of some incredible companies that are now trading at historical discounts. Personally, I’m actively buying for the long-haul within my fund this week.
